our story
It begins outdoors with basic tools and basic necessities in late 2019. We did not know that we wanted to do this for a living but with a skill saw, a jig saw, a drill set and some screws we started building a simple (out of square) TV stand. Then YouTube happened and we were falling asleep at night with a whole playlist of tutorials. We had the fortune to have a day job and could buy wood and continue to experiment with a coffee table and other miscellaneous items. In early 2020, we started running into the often rain and building was difficult with the elements in Puerto Rico, so in a matter of weeks we set up a 18’ x 16’ shop and adding to our basic tools. Now we could do more than just basic squared boxes; yes we bought a square tool. Then Family started to ask for custom furniture and they wanted to have things they could own for a lifetime. Builds took time but were intentionally made with love. Fast forward to 2021 and we have built for more than 10 customers different custom furniture and cabinets. Our passion for timeless design and building started to be our goal and wood (madera in Spanish) was our go to material. The smell and texture of different wood species our foundation and the restoration of some old furniture was a key selling point for our customers. Mad.Eras was born with a desire to furnish homes and businesses in Mad times for Eras to come. We are proud to expand our shop to brand new 1,500 sq. ft. production during the 3rd quarter of 2021. Our three dedicated woodworkers make our values stand tall in the growing market and strive for more than just furniture. We build with love and passion for our customers. Welcome to our ever-changing story.

our values
trees are friends
The team loves the smell of wood dust and coffee in the mornings; that’s what we live for. Although this is true we do encourage and participate in constant reforestation and sustainable woodworking.
think timeless
We design and build furniture to stand the test of time and eras to come. Our material selection and design conversations will be guided towards the best interest of present and future use of the furniture.
follow the grain
Although there are esthetics to maintain timeless styles our clients have the needed
choices and final word in any build. Your choices become our commitment.
remain authentic
Designing can be tricky but we strive to remain authentic in every custom build.
love the blade
Our passion for woodworking is engraved in our commitment to love and respect the
dangers of it. We are not afraid of the tools we use but we are safely making every cut.

Pedro III Aponte
Owner, Main Builder & Designer.
Hi, it’s nice that you’ve decided to consider Mad.Eras to be your source of custom furniture. I’m an accountant by academy but an old soul in woodworking. I was not raised in a wood shop but have always had an urge to build and design solutions. I started woodworking in 2018 and quickly realized that this was a lifetime passion, specially to envision, draw, and perform the arts and craftsmanship with, to my consideration, the very best material that has lasted the test of time “wood”. I did have a day job for a long time but soon business started to raise and the opportunities to live from woodworking were possible, so I took the dive in full support of my wife Priscilla. I appreciate the opportunity to live in Puerto Rico and proudly entrepreneuring into the future of my small business. Welcome for now and thanks for choosing us as your source of design and furniture.
Priscilla Soto
Human Resources and Marketing manager.
The conscience inside of the shop. Although Priscilla works part time with us, she juggles between two jobs to help the team maintain our calendars, payables, HR policies, and Marketing alive. Woodworking talk doesn’t stop after our meetings, it’s always reminded by Pedro III at home. Her dream is to become a Plastic Artist and travel the world.
Bryan O. Morales
Builder
YB
Young blood woodworker and endless soul of our shop. He bounces from college to
work while keeping up with the pace that live brings to his feet. His energy is
endeavouros and keeps the rest of the team down to earth with new solutions to old
problems. He studies Biology and his dream is to become a Medical Doctor.
